Review and Swatches:Revlon Lip Butters

Hi,

Today I am going to be reviewing the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters in 096 Macaroon and 005 Sugar Frosting.  The colour lasts well on the lips, but the initial shine of the product is not a long lasting but they are moisturising.
The Lip butters are available from Boots and Superdrug in the UK, and cost £7.99.

096 Macaroon

This is a red colour, with coral undertones, it is a nice pigmented shade, that is bold, but not a dramatic as a red lipstick.  In the there is a lot of glitter but this does not transfer on to the lips.

 005 Sugar Frosting

This is a pale nude pink colour, which in the tube looks nice, but sadly when swatch, and on the lips, doesnt show up.  It just isn't very pigmented and just looks like a clear gloss on your lips.

Here is a swatch of the two colour together, and you may notice that the Sugar frosting barely shows up, which is with multiple swipes, where as the red colour was only one.

Overall, I like the texture and the feeling of the Lip Butters, but was disappointed with the lighter shade therefore I would suggest to try the brighter bolder shades as they are likely to show up better.

Nail of the day: Max Factor - Intense Plum

Hi,

Today I am wearing Intense Plum from Max Factor which is one of the Max Effect Mini Nail Polishes and cost £3.99 in Boots and Superdrug.

This is a nice dark purple colour, which is easy to apply unlike other dark purple nail polishes! (even though this is very messy- was one of those rushing days)

No7 Cream Blush-Blossoming Pink

Hi,

Today I am going to be reviewing the No7 Cream Blush in Blossoming pink, Which is part of the No7 spring collection.  I think that this blush which is more of a coral, adds a nice touch of colour to your cheeks and, works as a nice base under a powder blush!

I also really like the packaging, with the flowers, which is what the cardboard sleeve also looked like.
This product is available from Boots stores, and costs £10.

Nail of the day: Nails Inc

Hi

Today I am wearing Foubert's Place by Nails Inc, and it is a Khaki green colour.
I really like this colour and went on easily and hasn't chipped much either despite this being the third day I have worn it, and i think that it is a nice alternative to black, as it is still dark but not as harsh!
I bought mine in a large Boots, store where they had some Nails Inc on clearance- so I paid just £3 for this polish, and the Nail Inc RRP is £11! and it is still £11 on the Nails Inc Website- So make sure to keep an eye out in your local Boots stores!

Hi,

Today I am going to be reviewing The Rimmel Lipstick which is part of the Kate Moss collection, in 08, which is a a dark, dusty pink colour.

I really like this lipstick as it is very moisturising, and is also a very pigmented colour, which is a darker pink but is very wearable

MUA Lipsticks and Swatches

Hi,

Today I am going to be talking about the MUA, Lipsticks which are available from selected Superdrug store, the  Superdrug website and the MUA website (http://www.muastore.co.uk/)

I have six of their 16 shades, I have 5, 6, 7,9, 15 and 16.

Shade 5
The first colour I have is Number 5, which is a glittery hot pink colour. Goes on fairly sheer but there is a lot of glitter.

Shade 6

The second colour is a darker version of shade 5, it is a darker glittery pink colour.

.
Shade 7
The third colour is one of my favourites, as it doesn't have glittery but has a nice sheen to it, dark coral/pink colour

Shade 9
The fourth colour is a shimmery brown colour, than has a lot of shimmer in it as well

Shade 15
This shade it a pink toned coral colour, which for my lips isn't pigmented enough to cover them, but if your natural lips weren't as pigmented they could be a nice colour.

Shade 16
This is one of my favourite shades as it it is a lot more coral than pink in
comparison to shade 15, and this covers my lips well.

Overall I really like the MUA lip sticks as I think that for the price it enables you to try out a lot of colours, with out breaking the bank.  also the lipsticks are very good quality and moisturising
