Boots Haul, April 2013

Hi,

Today I have a boots haul, I went in specifically to try the Vichy DermaBlend foundation, which is a high coverage foundation, which is said to be good at covering up spots, so I'm hoping that it will work for me!
I got the lightest colour, which is 15 Opal, which upon first looks seams like an ok colour for me.
I was then looking at the skin care, and found the Anti-Blemish range from Sk:n, it's a brand I've heard about but never tried before, so I though I would give it a go considering that it is on offer at the moment.

I picked up the Maintenance Serum, which you basically use in the morning on your blemish prone areas, to help to improve, or prevent  spots.  Finally I picked up the Nivea lip butter in Vanilla & Macadamia.

I have already tried the lip butter, and it smells lovely!

So that's all I picked up in Boots today, but I could have easily spent a lot moor, if I hadn't been careful!

What have you picked up recently, would you like me to review any of these products?

Maria's make-up remover series-6- Boots Simply Sensitive Face Wipes

Hi,

This is the next part of my make-up remover series, which I started last year.  Today I am going to be reviewing the Simply Sensitive Face Wipes which is a Boots Brand, and cost £2.79 but are currently half price at £1.39 which is what I paid for them.

I really like these wipes, as what the name suggest they are sensitive, and are great for taking make-up off the eye area, especially water-proof mascara, which I wear everyday and they leave your face feeling fresh and clean.

I also think that they are very similar the the Simple make-up wipes which are £3, so even when the Boots or Simple one's are not on offer they are still cheaper!  However I would say that they Simple wipes are a little thicker but I don't think that this makes a big difference!

Overall I highly recommend these wipes and will defiantly be picking up a few more packs while they are on offer!

What are your favourite make-up wipes? or do you just buy the ones that are on offer?

Drug store/High street Make-Up Haul!

Hi,

I'm back, after having a break from blogging over the summer, I'm back with a haul- the first on my blog!

Today I went into Boots, to the Number 7 counter, and was matched to a foundation using their new foundation matching machine.  First the assistant removed my make up, and applied a moisturiser and asked what are the main problems with my skin an went on to match my colour and chose the stay perfect foundation as the best foundation for me, and I am in the lightest shade Calico.
I'm really happy with the colour and it has a nice staying power and coverage also!

Then I went into Superdrug, as there was an offer on the MUA make-up, when you spend £4 you get a free Immaculate Pallet which retails at £4!

So I bought the MUA Eye Dust in shade 1 which is a silvery glitter pigment.

Lip Liner in Softly Lined

and I also bought the Love Hearts Lip balm in Sweet Kiss.

I will be sure the review these products in the next few weeks and let you know what I think!

Leave a comment below any requests you have!

No7 Cream Blush-Blossoming Pink

Hi,

Today I am going to be reviewing the No7 Cream Blush in Blossoming pink, Which is part of the No7 spring collection.  I think that this blush which is more of a coral, adds a nice touch of colour to your cheeks and, works as a nice base under a powder blush!

I also really like the packaging, with the flowers, which is what the cardboard sleeve also looked like.
This product is available from Boots stores, and costs £10.

Christmas Gift guide-For Her-Make-up

Hi,
This is my list of possible gift ideas for her.

1) My first idea would be a light up mirror.  I received this one last year- and don't know how I ever lived without it!- one side is a regular mirror and the other 5 times magnified.  It is available from Boots, in store and online- http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Illuminated-Make-up-Mirror-Exclusive-to-Boots_982588/- and costs £20. I feel that this would be a amazing gift as it is suitable for woman and girls of all ages-Teenagers just getting into make-up and older woman, who may decide to take a little more care in their appearance!

2) My second idea is the NYX Nude on Nude, eyeshadow and lip pallet.  This is an ideal pallet for someone just getting into make-up as it provides them with essential colours for both eyes and lips!, also it is a good pallet for those who like travelling as you can get many different eye looks from the one pallet.  I purchased mine in the UK from my local TK Maxx Store, and it cost £14.99.

3)As you may be able to tell by my many nail of the day post I love nail varnish- and when I received the 17 mini nail library as a gift, I thought it was great, for those who are just starting out and experimenting with nail polish- and also it gives you a wide variety of choices in one box.  It is available from boot stores and online-http://www.boots.com/en/17-Mini-Nail-Library_1219471/ and it costs £10

4)Another idea would be to do a hamper- one could be for nails-you could include the nail wardrobe from above- with one of my favourite products the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat, which I have used many times and love, which is available from Boots and Superdrug, and costs £6.15.  You could also include a nail file, I like the Leighton Denny one from Boots, as it also includes a buffer, and costs £6.15,http://www.boots.com/en/Leighton-Denny-Quatro-Nail-File-Buffer_927622/. Also you can include a hand and nail cream to ensure that the nail is kept in the best condition possible, http://www.boots.com/en/Neutrogena-Norwegian-Formula-Hand-Nail-Cream-75ml_1114043.  Finally you could include some nail varnish remover and cotton pads, for when it is time to take the nail varnish off.
